Of course I wouldn’t have just one. I really, really loved Avi’s birthday celebration. Really, there’s nothing more that I love than to see my boyfriend happy. (If you’re reading this now, even though you should be studying, I miss talking to you!!!)

Look at how tanned we I am!

I also really enjoyed going to InSpa (Spa Castle? Spa World? In Castle World??) with Avi, Alex, David, Josh, Avalon, Victoria, and Jana the week before people would start moving away for college. I got us all tickets as a graduation present and finally, we were all available at the same time to go. Although it was very much all over the place at first, I had so much fun with all of my friends and felt completely relaxed.

Oh man, aren’t we an attractive, wet bunch.

I’m not one to usually gush on and on about how much I love and miss summer but after having the best summer of my life, I can honestly say that, well, I love and miss summer! These two memories are seriously just the tip of the iceberg for all of the great things I did and the amazing people I was privileged to do it with.

I will miss obnoxiously screaming “SENIORS!” so much.

I’m going to Georgia for a week this summer.

I really wanna test out the Southern hospitality/”I’m gonna pray for her” practices by being as rude and as much of a New Yorker as I can be.

SO EXCITED.

48/102.

48. Were you single over the last summer?

Yes. Sorta. Technically?

Before the school year ended, Avi and I broke up because we were always fighting. I thought he was an asshole and he thought I was a crazy bitch. That wouldn’t have worked out, now would it?

Even though we weren’t together, we would still be, I guess you can say, exclusive. When it came down to the bottom line, though, we weren’t boyfriend-and-girlfriend. This was throughout the entire summer. It makes me upset thinking about how much time we wasted that summer fighting rather than enjoying time off from school.

15. What good thing happened this summer?

Nothing… SIGH.

I would say the two good things that happened this summer were the Labor Day barbecue at Andrew’s house and meeting up with Avi in the city after our two-week long fight. I can’t say it was as eventful and as fun as my other summers, though. To be truthful, summer 2011 was quite disappointing. Half the time, I was pining for school to start so that I would actually look forward to something.

I think what I’m going to miss the most about this past summer is Maddie.

Her, and eating whenever I want.

I’m having separation anxiety right now, okay. Don’t judge me.

Internal clock.

I’m turning on my 5:45 AM alarm on now to go off during the weekdays so I get used to waking up for school and break my habit of waking up at 10 o’clock.

Goodbye, summer.

You weren’t as fun as I had hoped you would be, but you sure were the needed rest and relaxation after my hectic junior year. I don’t even know how I’m supposed to feel about school starting tomorrow.

Your summer plans in detail.

I finally have plans, woohoo! At 1 in the morning last night, my parents, Kyle, and I with Maddie arrived here in Delaware for a house-warming party. We went to three museums and drove around the Dover area.

Tomorrow, we should be in the Poconos to celebrate the twins’ fifth birthday. We’ll be staying overnight there and we’ll be back in New York by Sunday night.

The following weekend, my family and I will be going to Maryland and staying with my uncle. We’re gonna be there to go to EASNAC. I haven’t actually been to EASNAC since 2007 and I’m hoping it’ll be as fun as it was then.

On the Monday following EASNAC, I might hang out with Josh. We’re planning on taking the ferry to Governors Island and hanging out there. When we get back to the city, I was hoping that we’d walk up South St and walk across the Brooklyn Bridge like I’ve wanted to do all summer.

Then sometime during the last weekend before college classes, I’ll be going to Splish Splash. I would be more excited about it but after going last year with the guys, I realized how small the park actually is haha. Nevertheless, I’m happy to be going.
